First surgery in Catalonia using the Ansabere fascial traction system
In January 2025, Dr Rafael Villalobos Mori, Head of the Abdominal Wall Unit at Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital, repaired a large 13 cm abdominal wall defect using the complex abdominal closure device developed by Ansabere in collaboration with Dr Sergio Salido Fernández, an abdominal wall surgery specialist at La Paz University Hospital.
This reusable device enables surgeons to perform a more comfortable, controlled and precise closure from any angle throughout the different stages involved in repairing these large defects.
